Neurotoxins
Neurotoxins (Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport, and Xeomin) are injectable treatments specifically formulated to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing hyperactive facial muscles. These muscles tend to contract when individuals make facial expressions like frowning or smiling, which, coupled with the gradual decline in natural collagen and elastin production, can lead to the development and deepening of wrinkles. Consequently, individuals may appear older or more fatigued than their actual age. By temporarily inhibiting the movement of these overactive facial muscles, neurotoxins effectively diminishes wrinkles and rejuvenates the face, resulting in a more youthful and revitalized look.
