What is Dysport?
Dysport is an FDA-approved cosmetic injectable that utilizes botulinum toxin type A to address facial wrinkles.
What it Does
Dysport effectively reduces the appearance of wrinkles by temporarily relaxing specific facial muscles, resulting in smoother and more youthful skin.
How it Works
Dysport works by blocking nerve signals in targeted muscles, preventing them from contracting. This temporary muscle relaxation diminishes the appearance of dynamic wrinkles associated with facial expressions.
Who it is For
Dysport is suitable for individuals seeking a non-surgical solution for facial rejuvenation. It is commonly chosen by those looking to soften frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead wrinkles.
Duration of Results
Results typically last around three to four months. Subsequent treatments may be recommended to maintain optimal effects.
Common areas for treatment:
For 3-5 days before treatment, avoid blood thinners like NSAIDs (including Advil, aspirin, and Aleve) and fish oils. Any blood thinning medication can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after your Xeomin treatment. If you need to take an over-the-counter pain reliever, take Tylenol instead.
Avoid alcohol for a few days before your Xeomin injection to lower your risk of bruising.
Pause your retinol regimen for two days before Xeomin.
