Xeomin
What is Xeomin?
Xeomin is an FDA-approved cosmetic injectable that utilizes botulinum toxin type A to address facial wrinkles and lines.
What it Does: Xeomin is designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by temporarily paralyzing or weakening the muscles responsible for causing facial expressions.
How it Works
Similar to other botulinum toxin-based treatments, Xeomin works by blocking nerve signals in the muscles, preventing them from contracting. This results in a temporary smoothing effect on the targeted areas.
Who it is For
Xeomin is suitable for individuals seeking a non-surgical solution to diminish facial wrinkles, particularly dynamic lines caused by repetitive facial expressions. It is commonly chosen by those looking for a natural and refreshed appearance.
Duration of Results
Results from Xeomin typically last around three to four months. Subsequent treatments may be recommended to maintain the desired effects.
Common areas for treatment:
-
Forehead wrinkles
-
Frown lines
-
Crow’s feet
-

-

Chin dimpling
For 3-5 days before treatment, avoid blood thinners like NSAIDs (including Advil, aspirin, and Aleve) and fish oils. Any blood thinning medication can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after your Xeomin treatment. If you need to take an over-the-counter pain reliever, take Tylenol instead.
Avoid alcohol for a few days before your Xeomin injection to lower your risk of bruising.
Pause your retinol regimen for two days before Xeomin.
